International Health and Fitness Institute (IHFI) was founded in 2000. Since then it has provided over four hundred difference certificate programs and over seven thousand participants has graduated from IHFI, making a significant contribution to health and fitness instructor training in China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and other part of the world.

IHFI is a recognized education provider and was approved as “Prescribed Course of Education” by the Hong Kong Commissioner of Inland Revenue on the 23 November 2003. Up until now, IHFI is the only approved institution that provides internationally recognized private health and fitness certificate as well as other related instructor certificates and examinations.

To provide quality and professional training for individuals within the health and fitness industry, and to facilitate the industry with higher standards as well as popularity, promoting the importance of safe in health and fitness activities.

Qualifications of our lecturers

IHFI always values the quality our lecturers and trainers at our college, all the lecturers at our college have obtained health, sports or fitness-related internationally recognized certificate, diploma, bachelor, master or doctorate degrees.   At the same time, our lecturers and trainers are experienced and well qualified to ensure our college to delivers high quality of education.

International Recognition

To maintain high standards of our graduates, IHFI has been actively co-operating with other internationally recognized health and fitness associations. We are an active member of International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association (IHRSA), IDEA Health & Fitness Association, and The Australian Council for Health Physical Education and Recreation (ACHPER). It does connect that IHFI obtains certain internationally recognized status.

It is our honor that IHFI is representing American Council on Exercise (ACE), Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), National College of Sports Medicine (NASM) to be part of their education provider, which allows hundreds of thousands of qualified trainers over 70 countries worldwide to obtain continue education with us.

IHFI is one of the fitness institutions approved as international profession fitness institutions by Taiwan, ROC Sports Administration, Ministry of Education. According to the official document (No. 1020024411) from Taiwan, ROC Sports Administration in 102/08/09, the same or similar certification by approved international profession institutions could be exchange for certificated fitness instructor in Taiwan via the Sports Administration. It represent that the certification by IHFI would obtain an internationally recognized status.

Community Service

IHFI is committed to promoting the importance and safety of health and fitness activities, and have cooperated many times with the government and private organizations (including Leisure and Cultural Services Department, HKICAC, TVB, Cable TV, Ming Pao, Oriental Daily, The Sun, Hong Kong Economic Times, Apple Daily, Sing Pao Daily News, Sing Tao Daily, HKFYG, YMAC, Hong Kong College of Technology etc) to promote health and exercise, raising awareness of the importance and benefits of doing exercise to the general public.

Employment opportunities for graduates

All certificates issued by IHFI have a high reputation in many fields, and it well accepted by many organizations in Hong Kong, Macao, China, Taiwan and other cities such as fitness centers, hotels, institutions and clubs.  Our graduates are working in the following organizations, including Fitness First, California Fitness Center, TF Gym, Modern Beauty, Physical Fitness Centre, Caesar Fitness Centre, YMCA, Dr. Care Wellness Center, Bally Total Fitness Club, Bodywork Fitness Center, Total Fitness Club, World Gym, Taipei Daan Sports Center, Fitness Factory, Extreme Fitness Center etc.

Other organization that have co-operated with IHFI in the past are co-organized with the Council's Health and Fitness sports bodies, including HKFYG, The Boys’ & Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong, Laguna Verde Club, Wonderland Villas Club, Summit Terrace club house, Dr. Care Fitness Centre etc.

IHFI provides more internships and job opportunities for graduates, increasing employment opportunities.
